A Wild Ride In Donington

rea.jpg

Jonathan Rea took his second race win of the season after an incident-strewn race at Donington. On the first corner Checa and Laverty touched and Checa went down, taking out Smrz and Checa's team-mate Davide Giugliano. Laverty later crashed, as eventual third place finisher Tom Sykes led for most of the race. After a multitude of overtakes and riders running off track on occasion, Haslam looked to have it won until both he and Melandri ran wide and Rea pushed inside. The riders collided and Haslam fell, unseating Melandri as he slid on the track. Rea held on to win followed by Biaggi and Sykes.

Lorenzo WINS! Honda Repsol not far behind. Rossi a non-factor, looks like another disappointing start for Ducati, unless Hayden can step up.
