MWR Performance Air Filter 2015-2019 Multistrada 1200 ‘19- MTS 1260, Scrambler 1100, 2015- X-Diavel

The filter for the 2015 MTS1200 is placed horizontally on top of the airbox. Because the filter is small and placed lower at the top of the airbox all the dirt & water what comes in contact with the filter stays there. With a horizontal filter placement the air enters from below ( like 95 % of all bikes) due to the vibrations of the engine the larger particles of dirt fall out of the filter easily. The airbox opening is also pointed to the front and the filter is not adequately “protected” by the top lid of the airbox. This causes the filter to clog rapidly and the large, high powered engine will in a short time pull dirt / water through the filter. It also pulls on the sealing gasket of the filter, causing uncleaned air to pass around the air filter edges. MWR made this filter with the top priority being engine protection: a filter with two layers of foam for increased durability and filtration ability.
